I do. I'm saying that if I were a farmer, I wouldn't be able to send a cow off to slaughter. I know it. ESPECIALLY one I'd scratched behind the ears. It would likely kill me. That's why you're the farmer and I work at a bank.Katherine @ Grass Stainshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01258123193553569060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109681358420328680.post-13534552636101308612014-08-20T08:37:53.729-05:002014-08-20T08:37:53.729-05:00I know it's different for you, but it would no...I know it's different for you, but it would not be different for me. I can say that with complete confidence because when I used to go fishing with my dad, I would name all the fish we caught as we put them in the bucket. And then I'd play with them on the way home in the car. Then I would bawl my eyes out when my mom fried them, and I never ate a single one. Ever. I have still -- at age 41 -- never in my life eaten a piece of fish. She was a tell tale Jersey color - light beige with dark points (tail and ears). We loved her and are excited to know that 4 of her daughters are in our herd and will continue her legacy - each with their own subtle quirks and mannerisms...Jersey Farm Wifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01207107305428367757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109681358420328680.post-74534647278780239652014-01-20T09:44:06.147-06:002014-01-20T09:44:06.147-06:00Always hate letting a cow go.

I mean, we don't have any pets besides the cat that my parents have had since I was in middle school but I must admit I might be sad to send cows off to their "next phase" after having a relationship, of sorts. I mean, I love cheeseburgers! But I might be sad. Is it hard not to name them or give them little nicknames based on their quirks? Do your children ever become attached?wildwoman87https://www.blogger.com/profile/12883457175678862179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109681358420328680.post-75503257893829701262014-01-16T17:43:34.666-06:002014-01-16T17:43:34.666-06:00Thank you, Diane!Thank you, Diane! Will Gilmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00946903401021760988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9109681358420328680.post-28293559682835056632014-01-14T10:04:11.105-06:002014-01-14T10:04:11.105-06:00you did a great job showing our love for our anim...you did a great job showing our love for our animals with the reality of our business.
